This bottle was produced through the late 19th century into the early years of the 20th and more than likely contained gin. The bottles were available in three sizes - 1/2 litre, 3/4 litre and 1 litre. This is the 3/4 bottle, the rarest of the 3. It has a lovely rich terracotta colour with the slight iridescence of salt glazed pottery.
