The client commissioned us to repair and refinish this antique spice chest to meet her design needs.

The piece was sanded from top to bottom and all four corners on the main base were repaired.

Several drawers and hardware (knobs) were repaired.

The lower base was removed and replaced with bun feet.

Having repaired the 4 corners of the main base, it was impossible to stain it with the rest of the piece. Instead, we used 3 different paint colors and a glaze to simulate the same wood look as the rest of the piece. We did the same technique on the broken knobs that we repaired.
